(USCPA） 衝撃の新展開。Maine州の受験要件変更と東京受験。

（緊急アップです。 同じ状況に陥っている方、多数と見ました。）

悲しむべきか、喜ぶべきか複雑な心境ですね。

USCPAのMaine州受験に関し、大きな変更点が２点ありました。

（状況）

その前に、状況としては、貴公子は、既に、Maine州の旧要件を満たしており、NTSをもっております。（失効は今年８月下旬）

少なくとも、２週間前の段階では、Maine州では、東京受験も受験要件変更もアナウンスしていなかったので、すでにハワイでの受験に向けて、ホテル＆飛行機を、予約済みです。

 

（変更点）

１）　突然、受験要件が変わった。

下記のメールを、突然、Maine州のAccounting Boardから受信しました。（３/２３の事です。）

要は、受験要件が厳しくなりました。

（大学で、会計学、監査論等の単位を取っていないと、受験資格さえも、新制度ではなくなるとの事。）

まあ、他の州では、この程度の受験要件は普通なので、正直、「とうとう来たな。」と言う程度の認識です。

但し、貴公子は、経済学部出身で、こうした商学部系の単位は取得しておりません。

そう言う訳で、わざわざ、受験州をMaine州にしていたので、同時に困りもしましたねえ。

と言うのも、現行では、Maine州の新受験要件を満たしていないので。

　

2)  Maine州の東京受験が可能となった。

これも、Sureですね。

やはり、東京で受験すべきでしょうね。

前日に飛行機に乗って、Guamに行き、翌日、一日中、受験すると言うことを２回やりましたが、正直、会社の休みを取るのも大変だし、見知らぬ土地で地図を見ながら、レンタカーを運転しながら向かうのも、負担が大き過ぎました。

いくら近いと言っても海外だし、受験の為に何度も行くのは、疲れましたねえ。

（問題）

問題は、ここからです。

NTSを持っているので、東京受験に変更することは可能ですが、問題はその後です。

NTSを持っているのは、FARとBECのみで、AUDとREGは持っておりません。（申し込んでいないので。）

もし、NTSを持っているFARとBECを受験し、両科目に合格したとしても、AUDとREGを近い将来、申し込む際には、新要件を満たす必要があるのか？？？？

それとも、旧要件で合格したFARとBECのCreditがあるのだから、AUDとREGも、そのCreditがExpireするまでは、旧要件のままで、申し込めるのか？？？

現在、Maine Accounting Boardに照会中です。

諸説ありますが（某予備校からの情報）、裏が取れておりません。

Maine Accounting Boardから、回答が来たら、再度、アップします。

Dear Maine CPA Candidate,  

Maine Public Law Chapter 478 that changes the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam became effective February 29, 2012.  The educational requirements to qualify to sit for the CPA examination as a Maine candidate are a minimum 4-year baccalaureate degree or higher which includes basic courses in accounting and auditing for First time and Re-Examination candidates.  The basic courses include a minimum of 15 hours in accounting, auditing and ethics combined, of which at least 3 hours were earned in accounting and 3 hours were earned in auditing.  The baccalaureate or higher degree must include at least 120 semester hours of college level education.

(Omission)

If you applied prior to February 29, 2012 and you have a valid NTS, you  are permitted to continue to sit until the NTS expires. At that time, if you do not have conditional credit, you will be required to meet the new education requirements.

If you have valid conditional credit, you  will be permitted to continue to apply and sit for the examination while you have conditional credit. This applies to any candidates with any conditional credit - even if a portion of that credit has expired. If credit for all sections has been lost, you will be required to meet the new education requirements to continue taking any additional sections of the examination.

If you do not have conditional credit or a valid NTS, you must meet the new education requirements in order to be permitted to apply and sit for the examination.
